Last but not least, these are the pictures from Heleens camera - the tiny sexy Canon thing, not my bulky Sony.
Some of them were taken because the Canon was most handy, others because the Sony's memory cards were full, and still others, well, just because I usually don't take pictures of myself.

Day 9: Everest Base Camp!
The ''nec plus ultra'', both figuratively and literally, of our trekking was finally within reach: 4 hours from Gorak Shep to reach Everest Base Camp!

Day 5: Thyangboche - Dingboche
After getting up and straight away getting a ''natural high'' from the view of Everest through the window, we got up to finally get into the ''real'' trekking at some decent elevation. First though, the day started with a nasty descent from Thyangboche down to the river... Fun ...

...kort samengevat is dat wat Varanasi voor ons inhield: het Holi Festival houdt massa's water annex verf in, en hoewel we het grotendeels hebben vermeden, zijn wat klein mannekes er toch in geslaagd onze kleren een bruinig tintje extra te geven...
